Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Kongruit ("Kongruit", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit www.kongruit.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Kongruit is the business responsible for the personal information collected through the Site. Questions or requests can be sent to our Privacy Officer at privacy@kongruit.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact / lead form, we collect:

• the email address you provide ("response email");
• your company name (optional);
• the subject and message content you enter.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps, through standard server logs.

Analytics (self-hosted, cookieless). We use a privacy-focused analytics tool that we self-host on our own infrastructure, to understand how the Site is used. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal information; the data (such as page views, referrers, and approximate, anonymized location) stays on our own servers and is not shared with third parties. See Section 9 for how to opt out.

Anti-spam (Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise). The Site uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to protect the contact form from abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health or financial account information) through the Site. Please do not include such information in the contact form.

3. Why we collect it (purposes)

We use personal information to:

• respond to your inquiry and follow up about our services;
• prepare proposals, quotes, and statements of work;
• operate, secure, and improve the Site;
• prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
• comply with legal obligations.

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent, as required under PIPEDA. By submitting the contact form, you consent to our using your information for the purposes above; for the routine operation and security of the Site, your consent may be implied. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8).

4. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (spam prevention) — the only third party that receives information automatically, as described in Section 2;
• our professional advisors (e.g., lawyer, accountant) where necessary;
• authorities or third parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Our automation, email, and analytics infrastructure is self-hosted on systems we operate ourselves; these are not third-party recipients of your information.

Service providers are only permitted to use personal information to provide services to us.

5. Where your information is processed

We host the Site and process form submissions, email, and analytics on infrastructure located in Canada. The main exception is Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which may process the information it collects (Section 2) on Google's servers outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by courts and authorities there. By using the Site you acknowledge this. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a comparable level of protection.

6. How long we keep it

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship plus any period required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• withdraw consent or ask us to delete your information (subject to legal/contractual limits);
• ask questions or make a complaint about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@kongruit.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Cookies, analytics, and opt-out

The Site keeps cookie use to a minimum:

• Strictly necessary / security. Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise may set cookies needed to detect abuse of the contact form.
• Analytics. Our self-hosted analytics is cookieless — it does not set tracking cookies or identify you personally (see Section 2).
• Tracking preference. If you ask us to exclude you from analytics, we set a single functional cookie (__excluding-from-tracking) that stops our analytics from recording your visits.

To opt out of analytics, use the analytics tracking toggle on this page (it shows whether tracking is currently on or off), or email privacy@kongruit.com. You can also block analytics with a browser privacy extension or an ad/tracker blocker.

10. Children

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
